Dear Donna,
Although classes are winding down for the holidays,
we have paper mache tags, classic wood tags and sled
ornaments for last minute projects and easy gifts.
We know some teachers like to have easy, fun
projects when people are busy getting ready for the
holidays.
A few new books have arrived with a few more
hopefully in January. According to the grapevine,
there will be less books published next year.
Maxine Thomas has already announced that Country
Primitives Vol 14 is her last book (but she will
continue to publish packets). I wouldn't be
surprised to see many classes weather a book famine
by digging into older books. Please let us know if
you are looking for a book. We have a large
inventory of older books, even a few out-of-print ones.
We hope this has been a good year for you. We are
thankful for family who now live close (after living
in Alaska). There have been some wonderful new
products introduced this year and there is always a
new tool or technique to learn. Our best wishes for
happy holidays for you and yours and a prosperous
New Year!

We will be closed Monday December 25 through Monday
Jan 1 for the holidays and physical inventory. UPS
will have regular pickup and delivery on Friday,
December 22, but there will be no deliveries until
Tuesday, December 26. Any orders received after
NOON on Friday, December 22 will not be shipped
until Tuesday, Dec 26.
We will not be able to ship orders during
Physical Inventory.
We will re-open on Tuesday, Janurary 2, 2007.

New Year Plans |

The year still has a full month to go but I've
already made plans to attend CHA in Anaheim at the
end of January. Martha Stewart will be the keynote
speaker. I will spend every day and evening
exploring the trade show and taking workshops. So
far the only hint I've had about new products is
that Plaid plans to launch a new line of fabric
paint. (DecoArt expanded their fabric paint line
this year.) Three of the five books they plan to
publish
between now and the first part of February will be
about fabric painting.

We expect a list of discontinued colors and products
from Delta. New Delta Cermacoat colors for 2007 are
in the works but so far, secret. Save your old
conversion books to keep track of colors that were
discontinued in the past. The Convert It Book, 2nd
Edition is out of print right now but Gretchen Cagle
Publications expects to do another printing. The
True Color Source Book will not be re-printed since
the authors feel people prefer on-line conversions
and software.
